EXPERIENCE A WONDERFUL LAKEFRONT CELEBRATION

2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the Cambridge Foundation — and we’d like to celebrate it with YOU! Enjoy fireworks, live music, an inflatable play area, a variety of food trucks, and beverages from 10 am to 10 pm. Admission is Free and so is parking.

COME CELEBRATE OUR HISTORY!

Spend the day at Lake Ripley Foundation Park and join us in commemorating the 75th Anniversary of one of Cambridge’s most unique ideas. Celebrate the hundreds of unprecedented opportunities the Foundation has funded through their annual grant program. The Foundation has been focused on community growth, recreation, and land preservation in the area since 1947.

A GREAT TIME FOR THE KIDS

Our 75th Anniversary Celebration will feature activities and music for kids and kids at heart. Children will have access to our Ninja Village, a number of inflatables and of course, our playground at Lake Ripley Park. From 1-3 PM, we’ll welcome the Madison Mystery Tour (Kids Edition), a Beatles cover band from Wisconsin.

PARTY IN THE PARK

From 4-6 PM, the party amps up with Harmonious Wail, bringing Americana-flavored Gypsy Jazz to the park on full tilt! Harmonious Wail combines the searing wit, humor and mandolin virtuosity of vintage Jethro Burns performances, the Continental panache of Django and charm of Edith Piath inspired vocals to create a unique musical journey.

From 7-9 PM, Wheelhouse takes the stage, performing Americana and bluegrass music to get the people dancing. Featuring three- and four-part harmonies, fiddle and guitar leads, and driving rhythm of the upright bass, WheelHouse brings an energy and attitude unique to themselves.

After dark (or about 9 PM, a free fireworks show will cap the celebration.

EATING AND DRINKING

Water stations will be set up around the park so visitors can stay hydrated in early July. Soft drinks and other beverages will be provided by on-site Food Trucks (more below on that!), and Sunshine Brewery and Cambridge Winery will provide beer and wine.

Our food truck lineup will be at the park serving up sustenance from 11 AM until 8 PM and includes:

• Jolly Frog Taco Truck – This highly-touted and well-reviewed taco truck serves up Mexican food in a big way, packing genuine flavor and authentic spices into each savory dish. Tacos, nachos, quesadillas, al pastor and carne asada are only a few of the favorites sure to please.

• Jakarta Cafe – Serving organic homemade tasty and healthy indonesian food with a twist, Jakarta Cafe brings the sweet and the spice in delicious and rewarding ways. Sesame chicken, egg rolls, fried rice, sweet banana rolls, pulled pork dishes and a whole lot more!

• Melted – Nobody makes sandwiches quite like Melted. Using quality ingredients to make chef-designed sandwiches, the folks at Melted are known for many dishes, but they are named for the “Cadillac of Grilled Cheese.”

• Fast-N-Fresh – An up-and-coming food truck from Madison, F-N-F is known for its smoked pulled pork, steak and rice bowl and PMAC bowl (smoked pulled pork atop mac and cheese with BBQ sauce).

• Cambridge Community Activities Program (CAP) – Our local community organization will provide ice cream and sweet treats.
